As a Thirty-One consultant, you are your own boss.  You are able to work as many or as little hours as you would like.  You will receive 25% commission on all personal volume sales, including embroidery (this does not include business supply orders).  If you decide to grow a team and work up the career path, you will have the opportunity to earn bonuses (overrides) on your team and additional commissions on your own sales.  For more information regarding becoming a Thirty-One Independent Consultant, please contact me at CJimenez261@gmail.com.

  YES! You can choose your own embroidery on selected items.

Can I get a bigger kit if I am really motivated?
  Yes - it is called the Qualification Kit.

How do I get the Qualification Kit?
  When new consultants qualify in their first 60 days (have $1000 in personal volume (retail) sales), they can invest in an additional kit to grow their business even more!

What commission do you earn?
  All Consultants earn a 25% commission/discount from day one of joining; everyone has the potential to earn more if they choose to build a team.

Do you have a quick start program for consultants?
  YES! Thirty-One has a 90-day Start Swell program for all new Consultants which gives everyone the opportunity to earn free products and business credits in their first 90 days of business, including their personal business website FREE for an additional 12 months, plus the opportunity to earn a $200 bonus!

Does the company provide a website for the Consultants; if so, how much does it cost?
  Yes. The website and newsletter are FREE your first 90 days in business; after your first 90 days, the website is $9.95/mo. and the newsletter is $2.95/mo. These are both optional. If you do not want to continue with either, you contact Home Office to let them know.

Do you keep your earnings upfront?
  Consultants submit the entire amount to the company. The company issues commission checks twice each month, on or around the 10th and 25th of each month. You can also opt for direct deposit at no additional charge.

Are there any monthly quotas?
  There are no monthly minimum quotas. An "active" Consultant is a Consultant who submits commissionable product sales of at least $200 in a three (3) consecutive month period. The $200 can be from personal purchases, retail orders, party orders, fundraiser orders, etc. and this does not have to be one individual $200 order. It can be a combination of the above.

Does the company pay for the Hostess program/specials?
  Yes, Thirty-One pays for these and we have a new Customer and Hostess special each month. Hostess items are not commissionable.
 
Is there any kind of training for the Consultants?
  Yes! Thirty-One provides all Consultants with a Consultant-only website where you will find special announcements, updates, etc., as well as many tools and training documents, recorded calls, video trainings, etc.

How much do business supplies cost?
  This is subject to change, but these prices are current as of July 2010:
- Fall/Winter:  50/$30 or 100/$50
- Order Forms:  100 pack/$8
- Embroidery Swatch Set: $15
- Party Invitations (240 - 120 of each style) $9
There are several more items Consultants can purchase, but this will give you a general idea.
 
What are the shipping costs?
  Shipping Party Order to *Hostess or Consultant = 8% of total
Direct-ship to customer = 8% of total + $4.00
Consultant shipping charges for supplies/orders = 8% of total + $4.00
*Hostess receives FREE shipping on her order when her party total is $500 or greater

Does the company allow Consultants to sell cash & carry items?
  Yes this is allowed. In fact, Thirty-One Consultants can submit a form to the company and if the cost of the tradeshow is under $150.00, the Consultant will receive a $25 gift certificate; if the cost of the show is over $150, the Consultant will receive a $50 gift certificate. These gift certificates can be used for catalogs only.

Do Consultants ever get to purchase products at a bigger discount than 25%?
  Consultants are given a 40% discount during special times of the year on specific products. The 25% discount can be taken in addition to monthly sale prices and specials.

Does the company offer other incentives such as trips, cash bonus, cars, etc?
  Yes! We were able to earn a trip to Riviera Maya in 2010. (Watch for details on the next consultant incentive trip.) The company also offers everyone the opportunity to earn your way to our National Conference in the summer. Thirty-One does offer various challenges at their discretion in some months. These challenges usually include earning free products and/or new products recently added to the line. There are $1000, $3000 and $7500 CASH BONUSES for Directors and above as they promote more Directors! These bonuses are continuous. There is no limit as to how many of these you can earn!
